DixieColonels.com has launched and we hope it will become a central location for Dixie alumni, current students, faculty and the surrounding community to reflect and discuss their high school experience at Dixie Heights High School.
We are launching toward the end of this school year as a test period and we'll be working with the capabilities of our new site to provide content that will be of interest to all Colonels, past and present.
We intend to provide articles written by students and faculty of Dixie Heights as well as the addition of photo galleries, videos and a number of other things that will be of interest. The more people we can add from the Dixie family the better.
The site offers several areas that members can use to share with the community.
- Photo Galleries - Members can use our easy gallery creator to upload pictures from years gone by. Dust off that old mullet photo and start uploading now.
- Blogs - Blogs are a great way for members to share their current life with friends. How did the kids do in the big tournament? What is a great restaurant you had dinner at last night in the community? When is your daughter’s wedding?
- Classifieds - The classifieds area provides members a place to sell cars, toys, services and countless other items to other local site members. You may also want to publicize your garage sale this weekend or let people know about your upcoming fundraising event.
- Forums - The forums are a great place to talk about the good old days. Where did you go after school? What kind of car did you drive? Who did you have a crush on?
The site also offers a calendar that highlights upcoming school events as well as reunions and other alumni related events.
We are attempting to create a historical reflection of our high school that we can share with past and future generations. Please take a moment to register and start interacting with the community and adding your thoughts and memories.
Thank You.
