My name is Sandy Wilson (Woeste). It has been 27 years (1981) and it seems like yesterday. I am married and an
X-Ray Tech. I still live in the same area and have three children, two of whom now go to Dixie. One plays football and one plays soccer. Dixie is a great school and I am proud to say I graduated from Dixie!
Kris Hodges, Class of '69. Veterinarian retired from practice but still active in the profession. I work with my wife of 33 years in her business as her business manager and travel agent, am the editor of the Kentucky Veterinary News (state veterinary newsmagazine), teach adult literacy, write, and serve on three boards. That's plenty to keep me very busy every day in a variety of areas. Have two children (both married) and one grandchild who just arrived in August '08.
Darren Webb, class of 1990. I saw something in the paper recently about the website so I thought I'd check it out. Its been 18 years for me and it does seem that long ago! I went to Morehead State University after DHHS where I was a double major in Music Education and Marketing. I became a band director and have taught successfully in Texas, Kentucky, Indiana, and currently in Michigan. I have two children (one getting ready to enter college). I received my master's degree in 2001 in education from Indiana Wesleyan University. I'm a middle school band director at Gardner Middle School in Lansing Michigan. I'm also an educational clinician for Yamaha Corporation of America. I'm an active performer on trumpet and in demand as a guest conductor, adjudicator, and professional development speaker.
Sounds like a resume....sheez. Been at this too long! Haha. Would love to hear from other Dixians. The pride is still there for me.

I went to UC for my undergrad and graduated with honors. Found out during that time that I had a very rare sarcoma so I had chemo, surgery, radiation etc. Despite all that I moved to Savannah, GA and worked on my MFA in Film Production at the Savannah College of Art and Design. When that became a physically impossible major I switched to an MA in Cinema studies. I excelled in all my course work but the economy and my health left me short of money so I moved home to Kentucky where I am writing my thesis (Almodovar's "All About My Mother" as an allegory for Spain's rise from Francoism to Democracy) and applying to PhD programs.
Hard to believe its been 28 years - I moved to Greece, then Oklahoma, back to KY, raised my kids, finished college and am enjoying life. Travel, ride horses, follow NHRA all over the country and raise money for MSJ.
It's all good!
