Dixie Heights School Alma Mater
Looking for anyone who might know if Dixie has an Alma Mater song with words and music. Either or both details would be something several of the 50's class members would like to know. If anyone knows of the words and/or music please share it if you can on an Email.

As far as I know, the school does not have an alma mater. I was involved with the school music department for about a decade (from mid 80s to mid 90s) and never saw one. The school song "Dixie" was replaced sometime in the mid 90s by then principal Margaret Morrissey over flaps about it's political correctness.
This doesn't mean there never was an alma mater. Its very likely that someone wrote one, but it was phased out over time and never heard from again. I taught at a school in Texas that didn't use the original alma mater because it was written in the key of Db (difficult key for many HS groups). It was subsequently rearranged in the key of Eb.
